Two Inmates Escape Custody This Morning From Fulton County Jail; One Captured

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate who escaped this morning from the Fulton County Jail.  22 year old Quwan Rogers is currently at large.  He is charged with Battery, False Imprisonment, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Sodomy, Child Molestation and Rape.  Rogers is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  His accomplice, 33 year old Octavio Diaz of Atlanta sustained injuries in a fall during the escape.  He was captured a short time later and is being treated under guard at Grady Hospital.  Diaz is charged with Simple Battery, Armed Robbery and Carjacking.  The inmates made their escape shortly before 2 a.m. through a ventilation shaft.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Quwan Rogers should notify their local police immediately, or contact the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office at (404) 730-5129.  Quwan Roger is considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached.
