Two deputies from the Fulton County
Sheriff’s Office were injured Sunday night while attempting to execute
an arrest warrant. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. when
deputies attempted to apprehend 20 year old Reginald Lestage at his home on
Culberson Street in the West End. Lestage was wanted on a State Court
warrant out of DeKalb County for 2-counts of Theft by Shoplifting. The
suspect’s mother, 40 year old Carolyn Collins, allegedly attacked the
deputies when Lestage resisted arrest. Both Lestage and Collins escaped the
residence in a bluish-green Pontiac Grand Prix.
Both deputies were taken to Grady
memorial Hospital where they were treated and released shortly before
midnight. One deputy was diagnosed with a bruised knee. The other deputy was
treated for chest pains.
