The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its annual 2004
Crisis Negotiation Training conference this Thursday and Friday, March 25
and 26th at Fulton County Public Safety Training Center in College Park.
Sheriff Jackie Barrett will be on hand Thursday morning to welcome attendees
from several law enforcement jurisdictions who have come to benefit from the
two day training program offered by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Orientation begins at 9:00 a.m. Crisis negotiators attending
the conference will be educated in a variety of new techniques that will
assist them in handling real-life interventions that require the skills of
an attentive, well-trained negotiator. In a crisis situation involving law
enforcement, trained negotiators are the crucial key to ending a crisis
peacefully. During each day of training, officers will
receive four (4) hours of instruction, followed by four (4) hours of
practical exercises. The Fulton County Public Safety Training
Center is located at 4710 Campbell Drive in College Park.
