Federal Court Receiver John Gibson to Host Media Tour
of Fulton Jail on Monday

Federal Court Receiver John Gibson is inviting members of the local media to tour the Fulton County Jail on Monday, September 20, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Since his appointment by U.S. District Court Judge Marvin Shoob in July, John Gibson has remained committed to improving the living and working conditions of the jail for both staff and inmates. As renovations continue throughout the facility, representatives of the media will be given an opportunity to see some of the improvements and changes being made.

Mr. Gibson will be on hand Monday to discuss his progress, and to answer questions regarding jail operations and conditions. Immediately following the press briefing, guests will be given a guided tour of a recently renovated housing unit.

Media representatives planning to attend the press briefing and tour will be required to present a valid photo ID.
